Holtec International is uniquely equipped to supply state-of-the-art heat exchangers and pressure vessels to the nuclear industry. Holtec’s engineers are the original developers of the auxiliary heat exchanger embodiments that were later standardized by the NSSS suppliers in the ‘70s in their plant designs.

Holtec International continues to provide the integrated resources to meet the nuclear industry's needs for replacement and refurbishment of plant heat exchange equipment and supply of pressure vessels for special applications.

Holtec offers innovative heat transfer technology products (Non-Segmental Baffles and Anti-Vibration Tube Stakes); fluid mechanics, and structural analysis and computational techniques; and certified nuclear fabrication capabilities (ASME Code Section III and 10CFR50).

Holtec's acknowledged expertise allows utilities to order replacement of custom heat exchange equipment purchased more than twenty years ago from firms that no longer exist, using the original design specification documents and outline drawings to establish interface points.

Most Pressurized Water Reactors (PWRs) and Boiling Water Reactors (BWRs) built in the U.S. and abroad by U.S. suppliers contain shell and tube heat exchangers designed by Holtec’s engineers.
