    Available Position: Mechanical/Civil/Structural Analyst

    Job description: Holtec International is seeking to immediately add advanced-level mechanical/civil/structural analysts to our Structural/Dynamics Group. The analyst would be called upon analyze metallic weldments, reinforced concrete and soil-subgrade supported structures. Typical types of analyses include:

    • Static and dynamic finite element modeling and analysis using ANSYS
    • Modeling and analyses of structural impacts and target response using LS-DYNA
    • Simulation of the response of freestanding structures in air or submerged in water
    • Static and dynamic analysis of large reinforce concrete structures
    • Soil-structure analyses with freestanding structures

    Requirements: Applicants should possess advanced training (M.S., Ph.D. or equivalent) in solid mechanics with academic or industrial experience in the latest stress analysis codes such as ANSYS, ALGOR and LS-DYNA. State-of-the-art expertise in static and dynamic analysis of systems and structures is essential for this position.     Available Position: Criticality/Shielding Analyst

    Job description: Holtec International, a turnkey supplier of technologies for the nuclear power industry, is currently seeking motivated individuals for positions in criticality safety and shielding analysis. Typical job assignments would include:

    • Criticality and shielding analyses of spent fuel storage pools and dry cask storage systems
    • Report preparation and report reviews
    • Computer code validations
    • Participation in meetings with clients and with the USNRC

    Job description: Holtec International is seeking motivated individuals for several senior and junior level positions in the Engineering Services Group. The Engineering Services Group is engaged in the design, engineering and licensing of the spent fuel (both wet and dry) storage casks and facilities. Typical assignments would include:

    • Preparation and implementation of Engineering Design Changes

    Available Position: Dry Storage Project Managers

    Job description: Holtec International, a supplier of products and services to the worldwide nuclear power industry, is seeking several Project Managers to join our Dry Cask program. The Project Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of projects and provides support to identify and develop new opportunities. This position will manage the overall relationship with the customer. Principal duties include:

    • Project completion within budget, on-schedule and to customer’s satisfaction
    • Compliance with contract in a cost-effective and technically sound manner
    • Coordinate integrated product development and integrated engineering processes
    • Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, contract requirements, and applicable standards
    • Approves design changes, specifications, analyses, and drawings
    • Preparation of proposals and commercial quotes of out-of-scope work

The Mechanical Designer is responsible for designing storage racks and casks along with related ancillary equipment for use in the nuclear power industry. Principal duties include:

    • Prepare and review design concept drawings for equipment using input from various technical disciplines. Design to include emphasis on manufacturing efficiency and use of standard materials when possible.
    • Prepare and review detailed fabrication drawings for equipment to be used by manufacturers to fabricate Holtec equipment.
    • Prepare and review fabrication inspection documents for verification of critical equipment characteristics
    • Prepare sketches and figures used in licensing and operations documents related the Holtec equipment.

    Requirements: All candidates MUST possess the following:

    • Detailed oriented mentality capable of producing error-free documents
    • Experience working with equipment fabricators to develop fabrication drawings
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work in a timely fashion
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Minimum of 4 years experience using SolidWorks software
    • Minimum of 2 years experience using AutoCad software
    • Capability and willingness to assume full responsibility for their work
    • High School graduate or GED

The Design Engineer is responsible for designing storage racks and casks along with related ancillary equipment for use in the nuclear power industry. Principal duties include:

    • Working with clients to develop design concepts for solving complex problems related to the storage of spent nuclear fuel.
    • Working with designers to prepare design concept drawings for equipment using input from various technical disciplines. Ensuring that designs include emphasis on manufacturing efficiency and use of standard materials when possible.
    • Working with designers to prepare detailed fabrication drawings for equipment to be used by manufacturers to fabricate Holtec equipment.
    • Review design and fabrication drawings to ensure that equipment is developed with the proper emphasis on ease of manufacture and use.
    • Review fabrication inspection documents for verification of critical equipment characteristics
    • Develop and prepare operating and maintenance manuals for new and existing Holtec equipment.
