![]() Air-to-Air Heat Exchanger during Fabrication |
Power plants, pharmaceutical plants, and chemical and petrochemical plants use heat exchangers to heat, cool, condense and evaporate various process fluids.
Holtec International uses HTRI programs to design heat exchangers for specified process conditions according to TEMA shell configurations and ASME codes.
Plant designers prefer low allowable pressure drop for heat transfer equipment to reduce operating and capital costs. Axial flow shell & tube heat exchangers from Holtec International require the absolute minimum pumping head.
In the Holtec axial flow heat exchanger, the common sources of energy loss are eliminated. Axial flow heat exchangers are inherently rugged and reliable. The heart of Holtec’s axial flow heat exchanger is the Non-Segmental Baffle.
They will accommodate an increase in shellside flow rate of more than 200% percent without introducing the damaging vibrations that occur in standard baffled heat exchangers at higher flow rates.
Axial flow heat exchangers have been used in diverse applications such as air preheating, condensing of process vapors, steam de-superheating, and refrigerant and steam condensate subcooling. They can be supplied in any of the standard shell configurations listed in the TEMA Standards and in size ranges from 6 inches to 12 feet in diameter.
All heat exchangers are designed in accordance with HEI, TEMA, and ASME Section VIII Code, as applicable.
