Water Cooled Condensers for Solar
Unless water is scarce, the turbine exhaust steam is cooled using water from a natural source such as a lake , a river, or the ocean. Alternatively, the circulating water can be sourced from a cooling tower. The cold circulating water flowing inside the tubes condense the steam flowing outside the tubes.
The Holtec condenser is customized to use tube materials suitable for the water chemistry and designed to match a variety of turbine configurations such as down exhaust, up exhaust or axial exhaust. The Holtec condenser equipped with efficient steam distribution, enhanced venting system, innovative condensate reheating, leak tight tube-tubesheet joints, and streamlined flow of circulating water, offers the lowest possible shellside backpressure resulting in increased power output from the steam turbine.
Main surface condensers provided by Holtec provide the heat sink for over 120 power plants on five continents. Their performance record is enviable.
