Component Cooling Water Heat Exchangers
In a component cooling water heat exchanger (CCWHX) the service water, which gets heated up while cooling the various components of the power plant, is cooled by the circulating water. The circulating water is typically the same as that used in the main condenser.
The CCWHX is typically a one pass design with service water flowing through the shellside and the circulating water flowing through the tubeside. Large flow rates of service water, relatively low allowable shellside and tubeside pressure drop, configuration constraints and dimensional restrictions necessitate an innovative and optimized heat exchanger design.
Holtec CCWHX are designed to eliminate flow induced vibration, minimize shellside and tubeside the risk of pressure drop, fit in the allocated space and render expected performance at all operating scenarios.
The Holtec CCWHX are manufactured to the highest quality standards at Holtec Manufacturing Division (HMD) or our fabrication partners worldwide.
