Anti-vibration tube stakes prevent collisions between adjacent tubes in condenser and heat exchanger bundles that may be susceptible to flow-induced vibrations.

These tube stakes can be used in new heat exchanger bundles or installed in existing equipment to negate harmful vibrations occurring during a units operating life.

Holtec’s tube stakes are precisely formed from thin 304 stainless steel strips to develop a U-shaped cross section which matches the tube lane gap and provides the necessary rigidity for inserting the stakes deep into the tube bundle.

The stakes are fabricated with a “Shepard’s Crook” at one end, which locks onto the peripheral tubes to prevent any movement of the stakes during operation.

Holtec’s precision formed stakes do not require any lubrication or special tools for installation. Introduced in 1986, Holtec stakes have proved their effectiveness in numerous power plant condensers and a variety of tubular heat exchangers.
